Iwaniuk participated in CORLEAP’s 13th meeting in Poland
On January 21, 2025, Mr. Krzysztof Iwaniuk, Mayor of Terespol and a member of the European Alliance (EA) Group, attended the 13th meeting of the Conference of Regional and Local Authorities for the Eastern Partnership (CORLEAP) in Rzeszów, Poland. In the context of the evolving geopolitical landscape, the meeting underscored the importance of enhancing transnational cooperation to deepen integration between the European Union (EU) and the Eastern Partnership (EaP). Discussions centred on maintaining and empowering CORLEAP as a vital platform for dialogue between EU and EaP local leaders, with an emphasis on fostering collaborative solutions for shared challenges.
The meeting also highlighted the necessity of ensuring stronger representation of local authorities in broader EU-EaP policymaking processes. This approach aims to amplify grassroots voices, ensuring that policies are both effective and inclusive. By prioritizing these efforts, CORLEAP seeks to strengthen partnerships, foster resilience, and build a more integrated region that benefits all stakeholders.
